Well the Wii is tanking in sales opposed to last year, and software sales are also dropping in sales. Though Nintendo has no reason to cut its prices, it is still outselling 360 and PS3. Even if Nintendo's Wii drops below PS3 (Which is highly doubtful) Nintendo will still be selling enough hardware and software to turn a hell of a profit.
Also the hardcore factor. Many hardcore gamers do own multiple platforms. However I think sales of Nintendo's hardcore franchises prove that their is profit to be made on the Wii.
