Actually, you got it quite wrong. I suggest you re-read and try again...

Thats exactly what he says.

There's a difference between making another Dragon's Lair and having QTE's in your game for action sequence.  He's saying that his game isn't entirely QTE's like Dragon Lair was, not saying that QTE's in general are a horrible device (which some most definitely believe).
