you can get swallowed up by that boss creature and shoot a level within it's insides
everyone has to share a pool of lives and you can transfer some hp to other players.. although I accidentally passed a live grenade to a buddy... 
the frame rate is locked solid and I was quite impressed with 4 player campaign
