HD gaming is losing billions of dollars every year, and if it would continue like this, both HD console companies would need to leave the industry after another few years. They didn't discontinue the current generation, because they still hope thatthhe winds might change, but on the long term, they have no reason to stay in an industry that constantly loses money for them.

 

Luckily, it won't continue like this. IT WILL BE MUCH WORSE! Hardcore gamers, by definition, require better graphics, more complex, more expensive games in every generation. But there won't be more of them. So yeah...

 

 

Kaz harai just said that Sony's gaming division is now making a profit that is why they cut the price,  so why would both HD consoles companies need to leave?
