| Kasz216 said: I dunno, I agree that it's a dick move. I also agree that their isn't much wrong with it considering we live in a capitalist system. It's not like those two are exclusive. I mean if the local music store charges 20.99 for CDs and FYE charges 25.99 for the same CDS are FYE dicks? Yeah, for sure, but they can get away with it. Also, i find the basic statement "These companies try and nickle and dime us to death so what's so wrong about someone else trying to nickle and dime us to death even further." funny. If only because the term "Nickel and Dime us to death" sounds negative, yet the thought of someone else making it worse seems ok? Also, it's not really helping the rich, but the desperate. The rich rarely overpay for something they want, they tend to have more time to research products and know exactly what to get and when to get it because of this. They're also less likely to buy something because of hype or brand etc... they generally know the value of stuff is what i'm saying. That's why they're still rich. Heh this reminds me of back when the PS3 launched, on another message board a guy said he paid 4 bums 100 dollar to stand in line all night so they could buy 3 PS3s for him in the morning for him to sell. |
This is getting a cry of outrage because the dude is essentially bragging about how he's ripping people off. If a retail representative came on here and said "haha, we're selling our system for 33% more than it cost us to buy it", then they'd get ripped into as well - or the makers of one of those budget titles for Wii talked about how they're making so much money selling something that cost 20,000$ to make at 50$/a pop.
cdude, you're an asshole, and the fact that you can't see that doesn't change the fact that you are. Edit: And yes, you only did this with one, but you fully admit that you're planning on doing it with more later AND you're part of a recent trend for individuals to opportunistically rip off others - and don't try the convenience line. If you hadn't waited in that line, either someone who got there a little later to stand in line would've gotten it and actually used it, or it would've been on the shelf for a consumer to come and purchase it. You created the inconvenience you're overcoming. And now you're whining about the fact that a) you can't rip people off for as much as you want to and b) people are pissed at you for wanting to.
Ugh.
