I'm not a history or military buff at all. But will be too far ahead in the time period for a US Civil War expansion? I remember my teacher ranting that the Civil War was a huge and weird war that still fought like the traditional old wars but with differences like ironclads, rifles, artillery, etc.

I wonder what's next O.o I can't really see a WWII or modern warfare Total War... going back to Shogun/Rome will be kinda disappointing... what if they do a Total War game that goes back to the traditional sword, spear, calvary, etc roots, but in a fantasy setting (but still has that realistic feeling).

US Civil War is another 45 years, but I think that is what is next. Even though there are in theory only 2 sides, they could have a British campaign, where we interveen, as that is what the South wanted.

Yeah, I'm not sure sure about Modern Total War, though that is what I want, I would love if they worked with Reliq, who did Company of Heroes so well.

I wouldn't mind a Rome II game, but I think Napoleon, then Civil War Total War will keep them going for another 2 years
