I think it is important to have a fixed day for releasing data - people know where they stand then and it will build up anticipation as the OP said. We will be having a weekly preview article soon which should give an overview of what is expected for a given week and then the actual data towards the end of the week (maybe every Friday - still deciding) so we can have a big data blowout and everyone knows when it will be. This is how Media Create, Chart Track, NPD etc do it so it makes sense - people like a fixed schedule to follow. |
I would suggest Monday. I'm sure there are posters who don't post as much on the weekends as they do during the week so doing it on Monday's would give people something to talk about during that week as opposed to just the day before the weekend begins.
