People always go a little over board with things like this dont they lol. PS3 is putting itself up to be in a great postion this holiday season but I really think that what we will see at the end of this year will not be to much diff from what we see know.
By that I mean who ever sells the most out of the 360 and ps3 it wont be by some huge gap like some people are expecting at the most like someone mentioned between the 600,000-1 million. Im going out and saying that by the end of the year there will still be 7 to 8m diff between the 2 with sony maybe closing the gap down closer to if not 7m.
Who knows though the market is fickle and the 360 with a small price drop will still be a cheaper console come christmas by anywhere from 50-100 bucks.
