I was thinking of moving the WiiSpeak to be in about 4 feet in front of my TV, sitting on a coffee table between the TV and sofa. It will be closer to me and the TV speakers will be completely behind it. Next Sunday I can let you know how it seems to be working.
Also, 1 hour earlier works well for me also. I am mostly home Sunday afternoons at that time so I should be able to show up and let everyone's score improve!
In the absence of evidence to the contrary, always assume you have the upper hand.
