Sony is a signifficantly "richer" company than Microsoft by almost all metrics. Larger revenue, larger value of assets, larger equity, larger operating income, on and on. Sony is a bigger company than Microsoft. Microsoft is the younger brother and Nintendo is the baby.

By richer you mean 1.5 billions loss and tons of fired employees?
