The problem isn't that they are third party. The problem is that they are VERY niche. The games that go to the HD consoles are much more mainstream. Do you think the conduit, no more heroes, and Madworld would do much better on the 360, PS3, or both? What about Little King Story? How about you tell me some high selling 3rd party series that went to Wii, but didn't sell well? Yeah there may be a double standard, but that is on every platform. On 360 there are people who would do this for a bungie game, on PS3 for any sony first or second party developer, on PC any blizzard game. The only platform where there is even somewhat of an equal stance is PSP, and that is only because when you look at high selling games there you don't look at developers(since sony has been barely supporting it) you look at large series(i.e Monster Hunter, Final Fantasy, Grand Theft Auto.) So again, I ask what game is high budget enough to be pulling off the sales you speak of? What game would have done better on the PS3, 360, or both?
