If MS wasn't worried, they wouldn't need to say they're not worried.

I can understand why they're afraid though. A combination of PS3 price cut, PS3 slim and GT5 2009 release would instantly kill any momentum the 360 had, pushing back the 360 to the place where it belongs, the last place I mean.

Cutting the 360 price again won't change anything this time since the 360 is already very affordable. Anybody who wanted a 360 already has one... MS should keep the money to make good exclusives, that's what the 360 owners desperately need this year.

Waouw your view is very optimistic for the PS3 and very pessimistic for the 360.... and not very realistic...

360 is still more than 8 millions ahead and had a significant grow over the years... while the PS3 is selling less and less over year...

I don't expect any revolution here...

Desperatly need of exclusivities ? Have you seen the pre-order figures for ODST ? Sony annouced tons of exclusivities at E3 then pushed back everything for 2010 (the usual...). Even with less exclusivities on the 360, it still sells better.. so...

IMO the strategy of MS is way better calibrated than the Sony one...

and there is a reason for that, 360 had a price cut a BIG one over 100$ it's less than a year.

and 360 sales are starting to slow down too, ODST it's a expansion, it will sell mainly to already 360 owners of halo 3.

if sony managed to get PS3 slim+ price cut and GT5 this year it' will be monumental especially in christmas.

also final fantasy xiii it's releasing exclusive in the ps3 in japan this year.

sony have a healthy games from 2009-2010. starting  from uncharted 2 (good contender for Game of the year), God of War 3, MAG, Heavy Rain, and interesting technology and tech like the Eye Pet, and their motion controllers.

they also had killzone 2 and infamous (which got interest in the ps3 in many consumers)at the beginning of this year

what hurting sony it's the price , and slim probably changes the tides, look at the DS, the lite version was introduced, and it started  outseling the PSP and never went back.

and the PSP + monster hunter freedom, it owned japan for 2008. until DSi and pokemon platinum came by.

microsoft it's seriously afraid, and doing PR About not being afraid it's clear sign of that.
