I think evangelical Christians are socially backwards, they promote discrimination against gays and try and legally block things like abortions. I also think evangelical Christians are completely and utterly ignorant in ignoring ridiculous amounts of scientific proof and believing the earth is something less than 10,000 years old. Thats just stupid.

I get really pissed off when evangelical Christians try and force their beliefs into the science classroom which is somewhere they do not belong.

Very few people are so careful to make sure that the statements they're making are based on valid criticisms. I have quite regularly heard comments like "(Evangelical) Christians are the main problem in Canada/The United States" and "The world would be a better place if we got rid of all the (Evangelical) Christians"
