I think it was awkward of Todd Howard to say it in that way - " there are no current plans for an Elder Scrolls 5.", but don't worry:

Well this thread is full, but it seems many of you are jumping to conclusions. Todd appears to have said that there will be no ES game in the near future, whats that? This year, next year? He also has not said there will be no more TES games.

I believe 100% that they're making TES V, and have been for over three years.
