It sucks for a lot of people who can't do online multiplayer, ssj12. :p

I actually felt Metroid Prime 3 was too short at 15 hours of playtime per playthrough. :p

You did it in 15? Took me 20 heh.

Anyway, I understand that games are multiplayer focussed but it's really just a way to avoid creativity in your game design. If you make a 5 hour game and just focus on good multiplayer gameplay then you only need to come up with 5 hours of solid plot and artistic design. After that you just throw together 10 multiplayer maps, solidify the gameplay, and viola you just made a game for much less effort.

I suppose there are some games I would make an exception for if they just had massive amounts of creativity crammed into that short single-player or if they had a lot of replay value, but even then it's unlikely I would buy it at full price.

Yeah, Halo's is probably alright.  Over 10 hours and at least it offers co-op.  I'll accept co-op as a way to change the experience.  At least it shows some effort put into extending the life of the campaign.  Still, 10 hours is the low end of what I consider acceptable.  Ideally games should be 20 hours plus.
