why is it that nintendo is the best>?

If you mean best from a business point of view then thats simple.

1. They do not compete with others, they focus only on profit and long term success
2. S Iwata runs the company with common sense not business school credentials
3. They never sell things for a loss

Well, they have been around for a little more than 120 years so they've been around but yeah I guess they weren't the first gaming company but they were the first to start the "classic style" gaming consoles that have ruled for like what 25-28ish years (sorry I'm pulling this from memory) before motion controlled Wii that is. And yes they certainly are without a doubt the best. Handheld wise they Invincible. Console wise, they are Kings. Game wise they are God-like. Thumbs-Up for Yoshi's Island!
