| numonex said: Haze should of been ported to the XBox 360 and Free Radical would of made a lot more money out of it. Back in 2005/2006 Haze was going to be on the Xbox 360 but in 2007 Haze was announced as a PS3 exclusive game. Making Haze a PS3 exclusive game was a huge mistake. There were much better shooter games already on the market when it was released early 2008 and there were much better shooter games on the way for PS3 which adversely impacted upon the sales of Haze. |
You say part of the reason why HAZE did bad was because it was on the PS3 which had too many shooters... Yet you say they should have kept the development of the 360 version going, the console with not only more shooters but with arguably the 2 biggest shooter franchises this gen [Gears and Halo]??
How would developing 2 versions help them when they couldn't get one done properly in the time space they had?
Also, HAZE was well hyped and recieving alot of attention, much like Gears, another shooter that made it's debut this gen.
Why did HAZE fail:
Not because it was a PS3 exclusive
Not because "Shooters" is a crowded genre
The gameplay was nothing special
Visuals were flat out bad, especially when it comes to flames
The dev's were short on time
Voice acting was shit
The Demo and reviews put alot of people off
Animation felt last gen for the most part
The story?? What story???!! Something about drugged soldiers.
Voice acting... they might as well have just went with a silent game with nothing but subs...
Oh, and I own the game... just incase you wanted to know....
4 ≈ One
