There are plenty of games that use unique art styles that aren't overlypowered.

Art styles are a design decision. They are not made by the individual artist.

There are walls for example, if you want a round wheel as an artist you'll have to make a PC/Xbox 360/PS3 game. If you don't mind a flintstones wheel then im sure you could make a Wii game or a PS2 game. No matter how good you are, you aren't going to make that Wii wheel any rounder without asking the other guys to make a sacrafice on your behalf to have a round wheel. It has nothing to do with creativity, or the ability/inability to create a round wheel.

Of course you know, you could grab that artist by the collar and ask him why he can't make the Wii games wheel round!!!

So what your telling me is these people in fact are never creative and aren't allowed to be creative.   Which you know... still proves him wrong.

These people aren't "tortured artists".  They're people who are making what people tell them to make.  They're glorified assembley workers.

No different then any other worker who does what his boss says.
