"Apparently you didn't but put it into a new post to make sure I'd notice.

It's not the same game, dammit. How can you call an RPG/platforming mixture and a true platformer the same game? They are completely different! Your analogy is rubbish. I don't say I want NSMBWii to contain some rpg elements and have a main city were I can always go back to, all I am saying is that I would prefer this artstyle instead of the one used! everyone seems to understand that except you."

I DO understand what you are saying. It just doesn't seem like a choice Nintendo would bother to make. Nintendo isn't known for taking an artstyle from another franchise and putting it into a different franchise. Nintendo likes difference between their titles, it helps market a game more and also it would show there is no competition between the games. Hypothetically speaking, can you imagine what would happen if NSMB Wii launched alongside (or closely to) Super Paper Mario 2 with a somewhat identical artstyle. Consumer's wouldn't know which one to choose from, making sales go down for one of the games. The thing about the consumer is that they don't pay attention to the difference in gameplay style of a game. They wouldn't know if a game was a RPG or just a platformer or not. Mario is just that big of a name, if they see the name Mario they would just pick it up. But if there are two similar looking Mario games, they would be lost.

Besides all of us here know that artsy Mario games don't sell as well as normal Mario titles. Nintendo would never turn another game into an artsy game.

Also can you tone the swearing thing down a bit? I didn't swear at you. Let's have a civil/professional conversation that does not result into anger or immaturity.
