True, and I'm curious as to why. Aiemond may be right that the Slim rumors are having that effect: I was expecting 8k at the lowest, which is about where the system has settled recently.

it would drop anyway, maybe even sub 8k (look at last year, without games the ps3 kept dropping so far the 360 outsold it for some weeks), but not this fast. I'm pretty sure it's stock clearing/slim rumors.
