I agree, Nintendo would have been hounding HVS to polish the game more.
Nintendo is the only company who isn't afraid to push a game back. I mean they push a game back pretty darn far too. I remember the initial release date for SSBB was December 3, 2007. Then it got pushed to February 10, 2008. Then it got pushed to March 9, 2008. They pushed it back for quality and look what we got out of it. Nintendo would have definitely made a huge impact. Nintendo may have even lent some artist from another team to help out.
