Gaming - DLC - View Post

The idea of downloadable game content is wonderful. Every since there have been computer games, there have been expansions that provided meaningful additions to the game. The expansions for Oblivion, Fallout 3, and GTA are all testaments to this. Downloadable songs are a natural extension of a game like Rock Band or Guitar Hero.

But the way its been handled this generation, by and large, is ridiculous. There was one RPG where you spent a few bucks of real money and leveled all your characters to the max. That's something that would have originally been a cheat code. The recent Tiger Woods game had downloadable courses for PS3 and 360 that were clearly ready when the game launched because they were on the Wii disc. Unacceptable.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?
