FFXII is still a long ways off. Every dollar S-E puts into it from this point on is down the drain assuming it stays PS3 exclusive. PS3 + 360 could break even at least, but it doesn't help them in Japan where they'd be flushing their #1 franchise down the tubes.
FFXII is whatever S-E make it. If they want to keep the franchise viable in Japan, and especially if they want to make boat-loads of money, Wii is a no-brainer.
DQ on DS was unthinkable before it happened too.
