Oh, I retract my statement. Flawless logic. So, Gran Turismo 4 was released in Japan near the end of 2004, and didn't even see its American/PAL release until February/March of next year (respectively). So, essentially, you're taking a userbase from before the game even got a worldwide release.

This is, of course, in comparison to Gran Turismo 5: Prologue, which has been out for about a year and a half (depending on what territories you consider, and whether or not I'm lazy).

But you're right, the comparison is flawless.*

*My other unanswered points notwithstanding.

Why are you so sarcastic and snarky?

Anyhow, all I said was that it indicates expected performance because of the variables precluding anything 100% conclusive. The point I was making was about the relative attach rates between the PAL and NTSC regions. Do you remember the title of this thread? 'Why do people say Gran Turismo isn't big in NA???????' have I not given a reasonable answer?

Can someone not take the relative performance of GT5p/GT4 between the different regions and make a point about the expected distribution of sales for GT5? If I had taken more accurate data points I doubt that it would have changed the conclusion significantly or at all.

I'm being sarcastic and snarky because you said something egotistical. Arguments on Vgchartz are serious business. That said, Gran Turismo is huge in North America. Any series that can sell millions of games in any region is definitely "big."
