it's hard to differentiate between when people are talking about making a profit now or making a net profit. It's probably not losing a whole lot of money right now, don't think it's profitable quite yet though. However in 2006-2008 it bleeded away billions of dollars that Sony will never get back from the PS3. Maybe they will from future consoles.
