This gen hasn't even had its own Zelda yet. TP is a tweaked port from last gen.

It is now getting its second 3D Mario though.

New Zelda = high expectation.

That's the problem that Nintendo faces, though. People go into E3 with their own, very specific expectations (and expectations that are generally unfounded by anything Nintendo has said or done), and when Nintendo doesn't fulfill those specific expectations, even if they unveil some great stuff, then they fail. No other company really faces that kind of pressure

But i am very heartened by this. It was a real "no duh" moment when they came out last year and said that they could have done better, but this year was very good, from a content perspective. They are exactly right in saying that they need to work on presentation, on hype.

Microsoft's mastery of hype was what allowed them to "win" this E3 (i've come to realize that the victor is the one that walks away with the most positive buzz), but Nintendo could have easily rivaled Microsoft's showing if they got their presentation values in order, and it's very positive for the future that they understand this.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
