To explain a bit better why sales of male oriented games sell better on HD consoles, just remember that Nintendo has said that 50% of its users are females.
Now I' m going to make a wild guess of 15% of gamers from HD consoles are females. The console base would go like this:
Wii total excluding Japan: 21,800,000
360 total excluding Japan: 25,670,000
PS3 total excluding Japan: 16,745,000
with some rounding. So the 360 is a better market individually for male oriented games and the HD twins are definitely better than just the wii.
