Much as I think this sounds cool, I would much prefer they go apeshit crazy on characters in the real game. Even if we just ended up with a crazy amount of move clones I would love to have 100 or more characters in the game. Something like:
- 30 or more Mario characters (I really want some Paper Mario characters)
- an equal number of Pokemons
- several more Fire Eblem
- a couple more Starfox
- many of the current assist trophies being playable
