I'm glad to hear the game is faster than normal DQ. It's one of the things holding me off from the DS remakes. What I was mostly looking forward too was playing this game through purely in co-op. So obviously a more action orientated version was HIGH on my wants. When I heard they went back to turn based is dropped low on the list.

So when I saw that it was going to be a combination of DQ Monsters overworld(but huge) and FFCC DS action gameplay(less jumping i beleive) I was so sold. I just don't feel that mutliplayer turn base can be done in a DQ game. It was tried in FF4j and in all honestly while amusing; unless you enjoy watching your friend play it doesn't work. Tale of Symphonia worked better because combat was more action oriented. It still suffered from only 1 person in the overworld.

I wish Japanese developers would give more choices. They should have left it as a multiplayer experience and have the single player version turn based. I would be estatic with that.

I feel that if they make two seperate battle system's both of them would be poorly made. Also I'm somebody who believes that the Dragon Quest series is a single player focused game anyway, and co-op isn't important. This is without mentioning that the series should be one that stays turnbased always. Imo the co-op is EXTRA and you shouldn't feel to bad if it works poorly or not what a multiplayer focused game would work like. Still it should work fine, despite it being turn based.
