I have played both 2D and 3D marios and I'll stick with the 2D marios any time because they are actually fun and challenging. Besides 2D marios are aimed to all kind of gamers not only fanboys.
And the sole fact that a 2D mario has returned to a videogame home console after almost 20 years is enough to celebrate.
