I would say heatsinks would be removed before fans.... and I doubt an on off switch would make a size difference. Anyway, they dont need to strip it of anything. The mobo is already like half the size, they already removed 2 chips. already removed 2 usb ports. already removed the card readers. already shrunk the chips to 60nm and moving the 45nm.
