Well I certainly don't agree about worthless news - a news post that gets 500-1000 people viewing isn't worthless.

I think vgChartz could put out a news article on the mating of hamsters and get 500-1000 views.  Stricter guidelines about what is and isn't newsworthy would be welcome.

We do have strict guidlines and all of these things are deemed newsworthy.

An interview with a seven year old on why she likes the Wii?

Perhaps if you implemented the feature I suggested some months ago- letting members choose which platforms they own, they could have the option to only see news for that platform- or perhaps choose in the options what platform's news they wish to receive. Is that possible?

There should be an incentive for people to sign up. At the moment, really, what can members do that guests can't, except post in the forums and enter the Prediction League? Perhaps when they go to the sales charts, say "Want to see more? Click here to register. Membership is free of charge, and with it, you can do x, y and z".

That was a news a user submitted and a non-news staff wrongly accepted. Thus, it was deleted as soon as we found out. Please don't judge the news for one mishap

Very well, I'll give you that one.

Guitar Hero Van Halen releasing 22nd December? How many people know what that is or care about it? That's why I suggested the "tracked" option.

You can already do that. Just hit any console in the top bar and it'll take you to the console page where the news are filtered. OK, it's not perfect since if you go to DS you get also Wii news and viceversa, same with PS3 and PSP, but it's something at least
