I don't know if it has been posted here before but according to Gamekult, no price cut is planed for the Wii.
Satoru Iwata said that the Wii will stay at its current price because he thinks that the drop in sales were mainly due to the missing of blockbuster game releases like Mario Kart Wii one year ago. He said Wii Music (2.65M) and Animal Crossing (3.38M) sales were disappointing but expect a rise in hardware with the release of Wii Sport Resort and New Super Mario Bros. Wii for which he expect for each game to reach 10 millions unit sold by the end of this fiscal year (March 2010). He also added that Nintendo is currently working on the successor of the Wii even if it won't be launched in a ''near future''.
Hmmmm no price cut coming soon? If the PS3 and the 360 cut their price I doubt Nintendo won't do the same.
