| The controls and gameplay has been refined and are pretty kind to players. Exploring the new maps is more fun than I thought it'd be; even hunting for mushrooms is exciting. Of course, hunting the new monsters is a constant stream of surprises, leaving me incredibly satisfied. The unique parts of online mode are good, but the single play here is just amazing. |
| Although everything here is new, the Monster Hunter atmosphere is unchanged. Underwater hunting is a little bewildering at first, but once you get used to it, the whole hunting process is a little more fun. Lots of little things have been improved upon, and the intensity of running into a monster is unparalleled. |
