honestly, people who pirate these games were never going to buy them anyways so you can't say they are lost profits. Companies like to rumble about the install base and potential buyers and such but it's more likely that the hardware would have sold less if not for piracy. Pirates don't buy games, they only buy hardware. No pirates means inevitably less hardware sold with no increase in software sales.
