Ok i see what you're saying now, the others section is kinda screwed up. If you align launches the PS3 sits at 0 for about 15 weeks for some reason, and as you said the gamecube would be heading toward holiday season now while PS3 hasn't quite made it there yet.
Looks like PS3 is tracking ahead quite a bit in Europe, but actually it is still tracking behind in America and Japan. They launched in the same month in America, and GC launched 1 month earlier in Japan (shouldn't make a big difference yet) yet it is tracking behind.
