I come here mainly for the sales numbers, and articles about the sales. I also like most of the rest of the features on the site, but think some of the new features like cheat requests are a little unnecessary, at least to show up so predominantly.
As far as increasing awareness I fully agree, that a fixed schedule of when the numbers coming in would help. Maybe even something as trivial as a countdown timer to the release of the numbers on the main page could increase anticipation. It seems like anytime a publisher puts a countdown timer on a website for an announcement everyone goes crazy, so maybe it would help here too. At the very least I think it would at least increase the initial hits after the numbers are released.
I also think it would be great if there were more sales analysis articles. There is always the article on America's sales that seem to get a lot of views, so why not one for Europe/Others as well? Finally I think if you have the numbers available, releasing a preview article of sales data like you did for The Conduit, for any moderately hyped game would be a great way to get a lot of views.
