Final Fantasy 13 will be the first major RPG on an Xbox system; then sales will be high.

Western RPGs don't count, there has yet to be a really great one outside of Japan which combines pleasing environments, pleasing characters, and a good plotline. Most Western RPGs are too focussed on being geeky like Star Wars or Dungeons and Dragons, or some other game full of bland environments and characters

Well, aside from World of Warccraft, that one is very major; but a different market and category of game.

How much drugs do you have to take for what amount of time to reach this point?  WRPGs have been setting the bar for over a three decades.  From the days of Bards Tales, Wizardry, and Might and Magic to the 90s Baldur's Gate and Dagger Fall... and I don't think I have to mention the steller line up of games that have come out this decade.  While Japan has kept the same base characters in their RPGs for years with few chances ever taken.

See, I find this very funny. It's laughable to dimiss a new main Final Fantasy title.

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."
