How so?  I went from Gold/Silver to Platinum so I missed that series.

RSE was rather disappointing. It replaced too many old Pokemon with new ones (and half of them were just pointless fillers). And Day/Night was half removed (it still functions but you don't see the visuals of the day and night, so the game always looks like day.) etc
