Yup. The Wii is a strong contender (I have a lot of VC and GC games, too), but the PS2 library alone trumps it, I'm afraid. I own a 60GB PS3, and a hella lotta PS1, PS2, PS3 games. Its a dream machine.. particularly with the upscaling on PS1 games. They look amazing on the big screen. Speaking of the Wii's VC, though, I am totally into the RPGs at the moment... just finished Shining Force (was *awesome*), and now I'm workin' on Breath of Fire 2 (again... I love it). Still.. there aren't enough. The BC PS3 combo library kicks the crap out of any other console in existance. I adore my Wii and 360, and their BC, etc... but if I had to choose, the choice is clear. There's only one King. |
PS1 & PS2 games do not belong to the PS3 era. You're still only praising the PS3 for its power, rather than the overall package. The SNES offered way more than the PS3 to gamers. When someone says king of the consoles, it means they are really talking about a top system of a generation that surpasses all. In that respect, the PS3 is no comparison.
