HMV do it over here, and it is really annoying. What is worse is when they come with stickers advertising great reviews, and Sony's new love it putting "stickers" on the actual artwork, so the review is built in and cannot be removed, though those annoy me less than the stickers.
I always go for game or amazon, and amazon never put anything on it, just leave the PS3 wrap on (with the PS3 strip across it)
On top of that, things like the M$ sticker on 360 games come off really easily and leave no mark (unless I accidentally dig my fingernail into it), but half of these stickers don't come off easily and leave tons of resin
