The figures are listed in the next paragraph I wrote in that article.

          Apr-June 2008    Apr-June 2009

Wii         5.17m                   2.23m

DS         6.94m                    5.97m

I have a Wii price cut in September or October. Brett said in the Wii Sports Resort article that Wii hardware would be up. Say its up 25% in each region as it was in Japan - they'd sell 200k Wiis in Others/Americas, and then the 50k or 60k in Japan from MH3. Let those games carry Wii above 200k a couple weeks, then cut price in September.

Famitsu scans confirmed Samuari Warriors 3 for November in Japan today and FFCC Wii for 2009 in Japan as well. So Wii is going to have a good holiday in Japan, and it won't be supply constrained in the west for December. Those two events alone - better sales in Japan in Aug/Sep/Dec/Jan and in the west for Dec are probably worth 3m. You add in a price drop and you have another 3m from the drop, and the holiday rise gets bigger. They could have a big Q1 2010 planned as well. Its early yet.

You do have a soft corner for Wii.. I believe it is if not more, as much difficuilt for Wii to reach its target as it is for PS3..

I dont expect Wii price cut going to have as big an impact as PS3 price cut is going to have.. Wii is already quite affordable..
