no seece, you have to read it :P In summary value = benefits/costs (the top games give Wii the highest benefit in ownership) it's a fairly simple concept and one Nintendo lives by.

But what if you're not into the 'top games'? then the Wii isnt beneficial to that person at all.

In reality and generally, the console with the most value is the one that comes with the games/features the buyer desires thats why they buy it in the first place.  And in time the buyer's desire can change to what the other console has and then it could be beneficial as well but it doesnt neccessarily mean that the Wii has the highest benefit due to 'top games' and being the lower cost.

Well if that person likes to buy a nice pretty box to look at then that's fine by me but they are called games consoles for a reason. Yes other factors have to be considered when looking at the benefits but no matter which way you spin it, Wii has outsold the other two consoles which means the consumers have voted with their wallets which console has the highest value and looking at the differences in games, the long tail nature of the top and lesser selling titles.. As well as the changes from generations, it all points to Wii's main benefit coming from exclusive software not available or not possible (due to motion controls) on other consoles.

Yes I agree that a buyer's desire can change but I'm not trying to predict the future here, I'm merely outlining the fact that Wii is the console with the most value because people consistantly choose it over the competition, why? Because of the games.
