It's in the rules, before creating an official thread you have to ask. It's not like they're gonna say no. The only time I created an official thread (the Killzone 2 one) I asked and got the answer in a min. It's not that much of a hassle
To quote the rules:
"Do not simply declare your thread official by fiat. Threads are only "official" or "perpetual" if management says so."
