Not bad logic, but would the 360 be as popular as it is if the Xbox hadn't set the stage first? MS has $$ to burn and they will keep investing in something if they believe it has a future in their overall portfolio. I don't know if the Xbox division has turned a profit since the launch of the original, yet.
