The Secret PS3 Feature From The 2.80 Update Helped Add More Memory

How is this a secret feature?

Personally, I think the only reason they wanted to release 2.8 for this and now, is so 3.0 will have "more air" so to speak, around it, and I am guessing it would release alongside the slim, if that is the case.
