Possibly, but from the article seems to suggest that much of what has been done with Uncharted 2 has been made possible with the extra memory they have available. All sounds pretty good.

Remember Sony have done this before with PSP where they locked the chip (250MHz I think) until a firmware update unlocked it to 333MHz, and games like God of War: Chains of Olympus wouldn't have been possible on the older clock speed. Of course that was on purpose and this is seemingly Sony trying to catch up with the efficiency of the 360 OS.

Who would have thought? An efficient MS OS.
