I would recommend V to anyone. Not only is the gameplay more varied than IV due to the monster training portion, but, in my opinion, the story and characters are much more interesting.

I think Final Fantasy V is the best Final Fantasy.  I highly recommend it and I would like to see it on Virtual Console.

He's talking about Dragon Quest 5, not Final Fantasy 5.

I never played Dragon Warrior 5.  I used the American name Dragon Warrior and not the Japanese name Dragon Quest.  Final Fantasy 5 is the best Final Fantasy.

And FF III (snes) = FF VI (PS1/GBA)

Final Fantasy III (SNES) is the United States name for Final Fantasy VI (Japan).]]]]]]]]]]]]]

Final Fantasy II (NES), Final Fantasy III (NES), Final Fantasy V (SNES)  were not originally sent to the US and Square Soft got lazy with numbering.  This is why the numbers are so weird.

EDIT:

So Final Fantasy III (SNES) United States=Final Fantasy VI (SNES) Japan
