WATCHMEN is not a good movie.

I'd never read or even heard about Watchmen until I started seeing commercials for the movie, as I live in Denmark.

So, I didn't really know what to expect, but what little I knew still drew me in, and when I had watched the movie in the theater, I had not been dissappointed. My only complaints were: 1) The movie should have been longer to get more story in (and I am buying the Director's Cut on BD once I have the money) and 2) the sexscene was waaaay overdone. It was bordering on pornography, and it felt really out of place because of it.

Other than those two complains, the movie was brilliant. I had no trouble following the story or following the issues the characters were dealing with.

Also, I can't figure out if I need to buy a seperate BD for the Black Freighter parts or if I can get the Director's Cut and the Black Freighter in one movie. Help?

Finally, anyone bothered by Dr. Manhattan's dong probably have either a sensitivity issue or a fixation issue. The shots in the movie were never distasteful, but they were rather fully showing Manhattan as a character and adding to his "don't give a crap" personality, rather than hiding it in some cheesy ways. Beyond the initial surprise of seeing it, I was never bothered and it felt right for the movie.
