I found Wii Sports Resort to be an absolutely fantastic game. Spent 5 hours together with my best friend shooting arrows and hitting miis in the head with swords. Most fun I've had with a game since Guitar Hero 2.
Bowling is greatly improved, in that both me and my friend can now for the first time control our spins. Imagine that. Spin is no longer just a random event! There's also a 100-pin version. Same game, but with 100 pins instead of 10! Mayhem! Points Galore!
Likewise Golf is improved in that it's much easier to hit as hard as you want. And you have to beware of slice instead. But I've always found golf to be a boring sport, so I cannot say anything about if this made it more fun or not. It also appears to have 9 new holes (making it 18 total).
